The Vienna Prater

The Vienna Prater is a must-visit for every visitor in Vienna. Most people know the Vienna Prater because of its famous fairground (Wurstelprater), which has many other attractions to offer, including turbulent roller coasters or scary ghost trains, promises lots of fun and action for both young and old. There is also the Madame Tussauds wax cabinet and one of Vienna's most famous landmarks, the Riesenrad, featured in the 1987 James Bond film „The Living Daylights“.

The Vienna Prater opens from March to October. The world famous Riesenrad and some other attractions are open all year long.

But many others don't appreciate the Prater for the excitement, but for the opposite: silence. The large park of the Vienna Prater creates a place to relax in the green.
